Protect Black Women Poster

I have created a self portrait of me, while making a poster in the process. This poster reads “Protect Black Women” because we are not protected enough. Black women are the most disrespected people on the planet. Most people could care less about black women and we are often looked over. In healthcare, a Black woman is way more likely to die from ignored problems than any other woman. I chose to erase my mouth in the poster to show that Black women are often silenced. I think the font was a good choice to show how bold the statement should be. This poster brings awareness to how Black women need to be protected and listened to, because we are dying with no way to be heard.

  4. This poster is really beautiful. You maintained the softeness of you facial feautres very well in the process and the colors you chose work very well together. I love your decision in font because it looks powerful and classic, like black women in history. The way you drew the mouth is very impressive but it was a nice touch removing it to enforce your message.

  5. I love how this turned out, its amazing. Theres a lot of detail that you added that makes this look realistic. The colors you used put the piece together really well. You're giving off a very strong message by removing your mouth on the final poster showing that you feel like you're being silenced. This piece is very meaningful and shows you put a lot of work into it.

  7. This is a very important topic and I think you did a very good job of creating a powerful message. The colors you used are beautiful I love how you showed that the voices of black women are sometimes ignored for no reason which is completely unfair. Your message goes really well with the image of yourself. This is one of the more meaningful posters I've seen. Great job.
